The worst year of my life so far

My name is Meredith Taylor. I am fourteen, a Virgo, and insanely competitive - I hate not being good at what I do.
I love words, and on the days I don't dream about becoming a zoologist, CEO of a major multinational or president of South Africa, I play with the idea of being a linguistics professor.
I talk too much (at least to myself) and record my observations about life in this fat journal, which is kept in my cupboard under a pile of winter jerseys.
