Cheeky

Cheeky is a little crocodile who knows that it is his right to say No! The elephant, the mongoose, the scrub hare, the warthog, the jackal, the leopard, the vervet monkey and the large old crocodile all want to touch and cuddle him. His answer to this uninvited attention is: 'This is my body and I won't let you touch it!' A story that will empower children to say No! when strangers or those familiar to them want to touch them in ways that make them feel uncomfortable. The South African setting together with all the familiar animals and the cut-out fingerpuppets will contribute further to identification and involvement from young readers.
