There is a country where people almost never speak. In this strange country you have to buy words and swallow them before you can pronounce them. Little Daniel needs words to tell a girl what's going on in his heart. But how must he do it? To say everything he wants to say to Hanli, will cost a fortune.
This charming book has appeared in several different languages, including Chinese, German, English, French, Catalan, Korean, Dutch, Slovenian and Spanish. The Dutch version won the Vlag en Wimpel from the Griffeljury in 2010.
