Things to do in a Dorp is a handy new full colour guide featuring South Africa's 150 favourite and most beloved small towns across all nine provinces. This guide was compiled by well-known photojournalist, Jacques Marais, and will also be available in Afrikaans under the title Doendinge in 'n Dorp.

From Arniston and Baardskeerdersbos to Wuppertal and Zeerust - Things to Do in a Dorp covers large, medium and small towns all in beautiful full-colour printing. The towns are conveniently listed in an alphabetical A to Z quick-finder, and shown on area maps, making this a very practical and user-friendly guide.

Large dorps are featured on two full pages and smaller ones on single pages. Every dorp features fast facts, a location map and GPS co-ordinates, interesting facts, a stunning photograph and some interesting history about the dorp.

Unique to Things to do in a Dorp is the inclusion of a list of the top ten things to do in each dorp covering: places of interest, historic sites, restaurants, mountain bike routes, hikes, running trails, horse riding and other adventure activities.
