After being left at the altar, Rendani Makwarela swears off men.

Instead, she pours her efforts into becoming a chef. With her parents' help, she starts a catering business on her grandmother's land, and for a decade she tirelessly builds her brand as master chef to the Venda elite.

Along the way, she befriends Fhumulani Makungo - a divorced property developer who is trying to find his feet in the area. Their friendship blossoms into romance, neither of them realising just how deeply their worlds are intertwined.

When her father's business empire begins crumbling, however, Rendi's own dreams are at risk of collapse too. Yet she will do anything to keep the dream alive.
