One afternoon, an enormous cloud burst and it began to rain even as the sun shone. Soon a magnificent rainbow appeared. Jackal sang an odd song: ''The rain is falling, the sun is shining and Jackal's going to marry the farmer's daughter.'

''Dream on!' laughed Heron. 'Show me the farmer's daughter who'd want to marry the likes of you, with your pointy nose and stick-out ears!'

'I do believe you're jealous, old chap,' said Jackal 'It's a done deal, you know.' But Heron is about to upset Jackal's wedding plans!
