This ancient inscription on a massive stone is the only clue provided to Kola K. as to his whereabouts. Kola K. is marooned. He is not sure whether he is marooned on an island, a planet or in another dimension outside time and space. To make matters worse, he is suffering from amnesia.
Where did he come from? What is his real name? Why does he have a dog? Who is the mysterious and beautiful woman who calls herself Death?
And why does he feel compelled to open a restaurant? It's Always Friday Somewhere in the Universe is a Robinson Crusoe-type fable for the space age.
